Engr. Hamzah Sani Bala, MNSE, R.Eng (COREN)
Engr. Hamzah Sani Bala, MNSE, R.Eng (COREN) is the Executive Director of Ayenajayii Foundation for Education and Empowerment, where he provides strategic leadership in advancing the Foundation's mission of transforming lives through education, empowerment, environmental sustainability, and community development.
Before assuming this role, he served as the Plant Manager of Chanja Datti Recycling Company Limited for approximately four years, where he led production operations, process optimization, quality assurance, safety management, and operational efficiency within one of Nigeria's leading plastic recycling companies. Under his leadership, the company strengthened its recycling operations, contributing to environmental sustainability and the circular economy.
Engr. Bala is a seasoned Chemical Engineer with about 15 years of professional experience spanning the oil and gas, petrochemical, metallurgical, manufacturing, and recycling sectors. He has over seven years of experience in the oil and gas industry, where he was involved in engineering operations, corrosion control and prevention, process optimization, asset integrity, and technical project execution. His broad multidisciplinary background has equipped him with extensive expertise in engineering management, operational excellence, environmental sustainability, project implementation, and organizational leadership.
He is a registered engineer licensed by the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and a proud Member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE). Throughout his career, he has consistently championed innovation, sustainable development, and capacity building, combining technical excellence with a deep commitment to improving communities.
As Executive Director, Engr. Bala oversees the Foundation's programs, strategic partnerships, and institutional development, ensuring that every initiative delivers measurable and lasting impact. He is passionate about expanding access to quality education, empowering women and youth with practical and digital skills, promoting environmental sustainability, and fostering collaborations that create opportunities for underserved communities.
